Kudos to actor Daniel Radcliffe, 22, who admitted this week that he decided to quit drinking BEFORE his life spun out of control.

We’ve seen so many young stars spiral into alcohol and drug addiction in the last few years that it’s refreshing to see one tackle the problem head on and before it becomes a real problem (read: Lindsay Lohan).

Unbelievably Radcliffe was able to avoid any photos of him in an inebriated state so the public had no idea he even had issues with alcohol.

It’s also hard to believe the final installment of the Harry Potter films is upon us but  “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2″ opens on July 15th. Who is in for the midnight showing???
