Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge Receives Training To Handle Kidnappers

SCARY! I guess it comes with the territory, but even the thought of having to get training to deal with something like kidnappers is terrifying. Newlywed Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, took part in a secret SAS training program to learn how to handle a kidnapping attempt.
“The Palace want to ensure Kate’s new status doesn’t make her vulnerable to attack. She has been well trained in what to do should the unthinkable happen. The VIP kidnap protection training teaches how to cope both mentally and physically,” the source explained.
Apparently it includes things like how to react when being attacked and how to strike up a dialogue with kidnappers. Prince William underwent the training when he was 16, and other royals who’ve been through the program include the Queen, Prince Charles, and the late Princess Diana.
What a “welcome to the family“! It makes sense, though. You can’t be too prepared when it comes to your safety.
