Uh-oh. It sounds like there may be some truth to the rumors that ‘Bachelorette’ Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez are having problems, although Ali doesn’t admit to all of that in her interview with People. She does admit, though, that they are not planning a wedding at the moment.

“We’re still engaged; we’re still living together. We just don’t feel the need to walk down the aisle right now.”

Part of the difficulty, according to Ali, is scheduling the wedding for television. The first date that they set had to be cancelled due to Ali’s knee surgery. Yet it doesn’t sound like that’s the only cause for the delay (after all, the wedding wouldn’t be on live TV).

“We didn’t meet in the most traditional way. We had a very short courtship and we only knew each other nine weeks before we got engaged. We are still figuring out our lives as individuals.”

Ali is in talks to do a show with the Style Network while Roberto is establishing his own State Farm Insurance office, so they are busy, career-wise.

“At this point we’re not planning a wedding. Does that mean we’re fighting? No. Does that mean we’re miserable? Absolutely not! We’re happy where we are. When we have things figured out, we’ll let you know.”

It sounds like we shouldn’t hold our breath, but who knows? I think it’s better to take things slowly that to rush into marriage, so good for them!
