People Petition For “No More Kardashian”

Uh-oh. I’m sure this is NOT the response Kim Kardashian, her mother/manager Kris Jenner, the rest of the Kardashian clan, or the people at E! were expecting as part of the fallout from Kim’s wedding/divorce drama.
ABC News reports that “thousands” have signed an online petition (it’s here) to E! asking them to take the Kardashian family off the air. The petition’s organizer said:
“In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming. We feel these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption.
“While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of ‘reality satire,’ it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them. I’ll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a ‘leaked’ sex tape.”
As of yesterday afternoon, 70,601 people had signed the petition. Goodness! The petition is so popular, the website hosting it said it may take a while for new signatures to show up due to “very heavy traffic.”
I’m guessing the only way to get the Kardashian shows off the air is if there’s a massive ratings drop, but this may be the beginning of the end of the Kardashians as the reigning reality TV personalities. What do you think?

I hate to say it, but it’ll never happen. These chicks have millions of fans. As sick of them as I am, I know they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. I’m sure as the years go, they’ll fade a bit, but that’s all we’re gonna get. E! isn’t going to cancel their cashcow.
i just signed and was #120302, they were once entertaining, but now just annoying.
this petition is good for them. for all we know, their publicist started it.
I’ve been trying to get you to go along with a Kardashian ban for quite some time. I think that you and your writers tend to over do it with posts on them and it has really turned me off this blog because of it. There has to be other celebrities to write about–you know real movie stars, real actors, hunky athletes–like David Beckham–anyone but this family and the Hiltons.
im surprised it took this long for people to put two and two together thay this clan is about promiscuity with the leaked sex tape but yea the only way theyll disappear is thru a ratings drop and maybe theyre publicist did plan this. then E will show episode previews of the show with kim crying because she sees the petition and then she’ll do a 180, change her ways, adopt third world country kids and go the jolie route for good publicity.
The only way to make the kardashians go away is by pretending they dont exist.
Want to know what petition you could sing as of TODAY, stop watching their shows even out of curiosity and un-follow them on twitter and You’ll definitely without a doubt will see how WE have the power to make them go away, but people are too curious and sometimes like to see all of this drama which is 100% staged and edited to stay in peoples tv and make all this money. Instead of buying their books why not purchase a ticket for a movie or Broadway show or take your kids to a Museum or Zoo or an amazing toy store, or better yet save it for a rainy day. Don’t purchase their endorsements and you’ll see hoe companies would not hire them or pay them and so You won’t have to see their faces plasterd across a billboard or magazine. No one want’s to invest on someone that th public do not want to see. Simple as that!

I am turned off this blog too, sometimes it seems like even the more vapid “stars” are worshipped. I understand not being as harsh and insulting as other “blunter” blogs, but quite frankly, it’s tiring.
With that said, I shared the petition on Facebook, and even if it may not get much results, it’s still interesting to note that so many people have signed.
by signing the petition you are actually giving them more publicity. Do you not get that?? haha. I find it so interesting that since Kim and the divorce everyone has turned on them, like OMG they tricked us now we hate them?? Stop complaining you babies!!
Like some of you have said, just stop watching the show and if and only if everyone sticks to that the show will eventually be canceled.
I can’t stand them. I hope they overextend themselves and crash. There are so many people struggling and they give Kendall a “sweet sixteen” complete with a famous rapper and a hundred thousand dollar SUV. So flamboyant, so greedy, so self-centered…Go to hell, Kardashians. Go straight to hell.
