Adele is currently recovering from surgery on her vocal chords, which means she cannot talk. So she’s using a voice generated phone application on her cell phone to communicate. A source says:

“She’s been using the speaking app to buy coffee at Starbucks and to order cabs. It is far easier to communicate using it rather than writing everything down on paper and showing people.”

I can’t imagine not being able to talk! Yet Adele seems to be staying upbeat. Here’s part of what she posted on her blog after her surgery:

I’m doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I’m just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors.
