Hmm… do I sense a theme? On Christmas Eve, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale took Kingston and Zuma to the zoo. Now on New Year’s Eve, they didn’t take the boys to a zoo, exactly, but they took them to an LA-area park with animals. These boys must be into animals!

Gwen and Gavin even got to enjoy some time getting cozy while a nanny kept an eye on the boys. Lucky parents! I love this family: I hope they have a wonderful 2012.

With Rihanna’s sense of style, I’m curious to see what she wore for New Year’s Eve, but whatever she did, it was private (or at least, no pictures have been posted that I can see). Here’s Rihanna leaving her Miami hotel yesterday afternoon.

The shorts and t-shirt made me think she’s beach-bound but the jewelry and heels say otherwise! Rihanna proves one thing here: accessories can totally change an outfit.

Is it me, or has Snooki been diminished in more ways than just her physical size? She looks FAB here working the red carpet at the Ghostbar Dayclub in the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, but this seems waaaaay more low-key than last year’s MTV-sponsored New Year’s Eve bash.

Well, bigger definitely isn’t always better, and with all the stuff Snooki has going on, you certainly can’t say her career is on the decline! If anything, toning things down will probably help “her brand.”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon decided to make their New Year’s Eve a family affair with their adorable twins Roc and Roe in Aspen. Becoming parents will make 2011 a year these two will never forget!

Mariah and Nick were spotted taking the twins out for a family celebration. I wonder if they actually stayed out until midnight? The twins are small enough to sleep in their carriers, I guess.

“Do-gooder” celebrity Lady Gaga left her hotel to go to ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’ show last night. She started off New Year’s Eve glittering in gold. By the time she helped Mayor Michael Bloomberg push the lever to drop the ball, she was matching the ball in sparkling white, though (see in the clip below).

Her rumored boyfriend, ‘Vampire Diaries’ star Taylor Kinney, was spotted leaving the same hotel a little before her, so I bet he was somewhere nearby off-camera to share a New Year’s Eve smooch.
