Hollywood beauties Uma Thurman and Liv Tyler both opted for understated looks for The Room to Grow Charity Gala last night. It doesn’t matter: they both look gorgeous, as always!

It’s great to see celebs give their time to charitable causes. I wonder if Uma and Liv are friends? They seem friendly enough with each other. Are you planning to watch Uma on the new TV show ‘Smash’?

Ashley Tisdale was spotted hanging out with her BFF (and former ‘High School Musical’ co-star) Vanessa Hudgens earlier today.

Vanessa was camera shy for some reason, though, so she kept her back to the cameras. Maybe she’s sick and tired of having her picture taken after spending the past couple of weeks promoting ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.’ I don’t blame her for that!

Exciting! Brad Pitt and George Clooney look like they’re enjoying the experience of being Academy Award nominees. We’re certainly seeing plenty of Brad these days (not that I’m complaining )!

‘The Help’ stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer also attended, along with ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star Rooney Mara, Glenn Close, perennial favorite Meryl Streep, and Brad’s ‘Moneyball’ co-star Jonah Hill. Melissa McCarthy and Michelle Williams attended as well. Who are you rooting for this year?

I remember Rachel Nichols from ‘Alias’ (she was blonde then, I think)! She’s been working steadily since then, including having a role in the big-screen version of ‘G.I. Joe.’ Here she is on the set of her new TV show ‘Continuum.’ Rachel looks like she’s having a blast! She shot a scene with co-star Victor Webster.

Between takes, she hung out with Mark MaCauley. And she seemed pretty affectionate with him. Do they need a Hot New Couple Alert?

I haven’t watched ‘Gossip Girl’ in years, so I have NO idea what’s going on on the show at this point. Can anyone tell me why Leighton Meester is wearing a ball gown and a tiara? This must be part of the aftermath of Leighton’s character’s royal wedding.

It certainly looks like one, and Penn Badgley is Leighton’s prince. (What girl hasn’t had that fantasy?) In between takes Leighton even posed with some fans, and Penn was nice enough to snap a picture of  them.

Now this is an on-screen pairing I never expected to see: Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen will star in the movie ‘Take This Waltz.’ E! News describes the movie as “a funny, poignant matrimony-minded comedy.” Sounds good to me!
