Ben Affleck Launches Facebook Page To Share Pics And Stories From Africa Trips

After his eighth trip to Africa, celebrity dad and founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative in 2010, Ben Affleck has launched a Facebook page. The page will feature pictures and stories from his trips.
Bentells People that his daughters inspired him to get involved and do something meaningful:
“I got to a point in my life where I felt like I had been very fortunate. And I wanted to do something more with my life than just make movies and try to make money. I wanted to do something that was important to me in other ways and would serve as an example to my kids.”
Ben’snonprofit helps to support organizations that help in a variety of areas – helping to rebuild the region. “The people there are working as hard as they can to make their lives better. And that’s inspiring.”
The celebrity dad (who is awaiting the birth of baby #3) tells his girls: “I tell them it’s important to be involved in the world in way that help others and not just yourself.”
