Katy Perry Goes To War In New Video

It looks like Katy Perry put away the bubble gum and cotton candy for a more edgier, military-themed look in the music video for her new single, “Part of Me.”
Katy, who shockingly split from her husband Russell Brand earlier this year, might be sending out a secret message in this film, but we won’t speculate. Or we will. As we all know, her split from the British funnyman didn’t go down too well so there’s a good chance this video might be a little dig about him!
In addition, it doesn’t help that some of her lyrics say, “You can keep the diamond ring – it don’t mean nothing anyway.” Yikes! You might not want to watch this one, Russ.

Just so we’re clear, “a more edgier” is the equivalent of saying “a more darker”. “An edgier, military themed look”, would have been correct. I realize I shouldn’t be expecting much from a woman who features Drunk Stepfather as a featured link on her respectful gossip site. I guess we’re all a slave to the sponsor/money, huh?
