I don’t know how much of Liam Hemsworth we’ll see on the big screen in ‘The Hunger Games‘ since his character, Gale, isn’t in most of this book (we’ll see a lot more of him later on, especially in ‘Mockingjay,’ the third story in the trilogy), but Liam still did a lot of work to prepare for his role.
“No one said [lose weight and get in shape] to me personally. They got a personal trainer and said, ‘Here’s your personal trainer,’ and I just started eating less and losing a lot of weight.”
Liam said his brother, Chris Hemsworth (who knows a thing or two about preparing for big screen roles as ‘Thor’), “supported” him, too.
“My brother was a big part of it. He texted me and said, ‘It’s called Hunger Games, not Eating Games.‘ “
Meanwhile, Liam’s girlfriend, Miley Cyrus, is handling his rising fame well, but Liam still struggles a bit.
“She embraces it. She’s very, very happy for me. I’ve had a few marriage proposals from 12-year-old girls…Ah, I don’t know. It’s a very awkward question to get proposed to from someone you don’t know at all, who doesn’t know you. How crazy are you?”
It’s part of the territory, Liam. Wait until the Team Peeta and Team Gale really heats up- LOL.
