By now I’m sure you’ve heard about Tupac Shakur’s “performance” at Coachella. The rapper was gunned down in 1996, but a hologram of the rapper was created by Digital Domain Media Group, Inc that was shown as a performance. Even with the video muted, the imagery is impressive, isn’t it?
Now there are rumors that there may be a tour using Tupac’s hologram. Snoop Dogg performed “with” Tupac, and other rappers may do so in other arenas as well, or they may do a full-blown tour. Reps for Dr. Dre (Tupac’s producer) and Snoop Dogg wouldn’t comment. I have to say, this seems a little creepy to me.
