When Jack Osbourne and Lisa Stelly welcomed their little girl Pearl into the world earlier this spring, the former reality star was on cloud nine. Yet two weeks after his daughter’s birth, Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

“The timing was so bad,” said Jack to Britain’s HELLO! Magazine. “I’d just had a baby, work was going great – I kept thinking, ‘Why now?’”

After losing 60 percent of his vision in his right eye, Jack discovered the life-altering condition, in which those diagnosed with the autoimmune disease show symptoms of a change in balance and sight.

“While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry,” said Jack. “Then I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realized, being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point – if anything it’s only going to make it worse. ‘Adapt and overcome’ is my new motto.”

Though his famous family has shown him unconditional love and support during this difficult time, Jack also has thousands of fans and followers standing by his side. In fact, the celebrity dad recently reached out via Twitter to express his gratitude.

 ”Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot. #adaptandovercome (sic).”
