There’s no doubt about it, Katy Perry’s career is on fire. From her smash-hit singles to her upcoming 3D movie, the pop princess is riding high on cloud nine. But according to the Daily Mirror, it seems that Ms. Perry wants to take break from the biz to recover from her failed marriage to Russell Brand.
“I need to let my heart heal,” said Katy.
While the two never officially disclosed what caused the split, the “Wide Awake” singer hints that her red-hot career might have played a part.
“For a modern woman, it is important to be supported and that there is equality in every aspect.”
Even though the once too-cute twosome didn’t make it in the long run, Katy admits that she has no regrets when it comes to Russell.
“Everybody asks me if I regret something, they ask me if it’s going to be that one moment [her marriage]. Actually it’s really a lesson learned and it’s super valuable, I could not buy this lesson.”
