Disaster Awaits For The London Olympics Says Russell Brand

Note: Russell Brand is a Brit, so he can say things like this. The ‘Rock of Ages‘ star admitted to Conan O’Brien that he isn’t feeling too optimistic about his fellow Brit’s capabilities to host the Olympics this summer in London. Not optimistic at ALL.
“China did such a great job. We are too clumsy, we are too self-effacing as you know with the English the politeness masks deep sexual deviance. I think we are under a lot of pressure, because China were clearly able to demonstrate the opening ceremony that ‘we can make all these people do the exact same thing at once – don’t you dare get in a war with us.’
“I like England and I am from there. But when it involves organization it is going to be a right balls up. Things will catch fire and people will be tripping over things, then it start raining and the Queen will do a fart.”
Goodness! I don’t know: the British seem to do pretty well when organizing major events like the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and royal weddings. And no one can control the weather. But Russell had more to say. He admitted he didn’t join in on the jubilee celebrations.
“It is hypocritical, isn’t it? We will rise up. I say it is time for a bloody revolution. Some people are into it and it only takes one to chop off someone’s head. People need to have things to celebrate otherwise people realize we are oppressed and unable to express ourselves freely because we are at the behest of all these corporate entities. So yeah they have a party to distract us from the fact we are being tyrannized.”
Chopping off people’s heads… something tells me Russell needs to activate his internal censor just a bit more. But I’m looking forward to the London Olympics! Are you?

The British sense of humor is so different than what is normal in the States. He may say these things, and many will as well, but it is more of a self depracating statement than it is a criticism. And no he doesn’t need a censore because a comment on chopping people’s heads off will not triger the national panic scale here!
