Well, that was quick! Right after Katie Holmes’ lawyer broke the news that she is divorcing her husband, Tom Cruise after five years of marriage, revealing in his own statement that he is “saddened” over the news.

His rep tells the media: “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy.”

Tom and Katie, of course, have six-year-old daughter Suri together. The actor also has two children with previous wife Nicole Kidman.

I’m sure the entertainment sites and gossip blogs are going to buzz with what might possibly have gone wrong in their marriage. Was Tom working too much? Was Katie not working enough? Do you think there was someone else involved? Katie is always photographed by herself, so I doubt she had an extra marital affair, and while Tom is always a way, who knows, maybe it was him?
