Katie Holmes Says Her Marriage Was ‘Irretrievably’ Broken

It’s been just a few short days since Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise but according to official court documents the former Dawson’s Creek star claimed that her and Tom’s marriage had been over for a long time, for at least 6 months before she filed.
According to TMZ, Tom was blindsided by Katie’s filing stating that he was ‘deeply saddened’ in an official statement. And even though Katie is trying to establish legal residency in New York in the hopes that the NY courts will grant her sole custody of their daughter Suri,Tom is trying to get legal proceedings switched to California.
I have a feeling that things are going to get very messy with this divorce. Katie seems like she knows exactly what she’s doing and she’s intent on ensuring that Suri end up with her.
