Katy Perry has never been shy when it comes to sharing her personal life. In fact, once her new film hits theaters later this week, her fans will get an even closer look at her life, including the moment when she found out that Russell Brand had filed for divorce.

“I was convulsing a little bit … I still have to find the balance, I had to separate my personal from my professional,” said Katy, who was about to take the stage when she discovered the news. “As an entertainer, I knew what my job was and I shouldn’t like take it out on my audience, they’ve always been there for me.”

Though Katy’s much-talked about divorce is included in the film, it’s not the only intimate moment that the “Wide Awake” singer brings to light.

“You see so much footage of me as a young kid, as 18, speaking to the camera telling the camera, this is what I want to do, this is where I want to go, this is what I want to achieve in life, it’s very surreal to be looking back at that and going … ‘Oh, well I’ve done it.’ “
