You probably first heard of Katie Holmes when she starred Joey Potter on I and if you’re like me you will kill for them to make a reunion movie! But apparently thanks to Tom Cruise that wasn’t going to happen!

According to Us Weekly, Holmes was approached about a possible onscreen reunion with co-stars James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson but Tom Cruise shot the idea down.  According to a source the magazine states that;

“[Producers] were begging her to sign on for a reunion movie,” a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (out now). “Tom said absolutely no way and thought going backward would be bad.”

Katie however, was all for it, and the source claims that;

“She wanted to do the movie and reconnect with her fans. And have fun — something she rarely does anymore.”

 

Sounds like Katie is ready to kick start her career again. Here’s hoping she’s still open to a Dawson’s Creek reunion too!
