For those out there that are big fans of TNT’s The Closer, there’s no doubt you’ve been mourning the near end of the critically acclaimed show starring Kevin Bacon’s wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick. Well now Kyra opens up to Parade Magazine and gives us little hints on what’s the come in the final six episodes of the series. Here’s a preview of what she says:

On not everyone surviving the final episodes. 

“I think Brenda realizes how deeply she loves her squad and the inherent loss of making a choice, or having to leave. And there is another loss that happens that I can’t reveal. But there’s a major personal loss for Brenda.”

Like a recurring character passing away? 
“Yes, yes.”

On the mole’s reveal. 
“Oh absolutely [people will be surprised]! I think we’ve been thrown off the scent. I look at my Twitter and everyone has a different idea.”

On the final episodes being themed around love and loss.
“The themes are loss and love and I think there are clearly some ripple effects that occur after the mole is revealed that are challenging for everybody. I think in some ways, the last six episodes are about coming to terms with who were are as people and not being pleased with who we see, including Brenda. She has to come to terms with the choices she’s made in her life and the ramifications of her choices. She has always put her career first and she suddenly has to deal with the ramifications of that.”

I wonder what was going on with Madonna? She’s still on tour. While performing in Berlin, she broke down while performing her song ‘Like a Virgin.’ Lucky for her, her backup dancers had her back, appearing to comfort her and then startle her out of whatever was going on by tightening up that corset.

Do you think it was all part of the performance? With Madonna, you NEVER know- LOL.

Everyone, including, reportedly, Tom Cruise, was shocked when Katie Holmes filed for divorce just last week. Yet maybe Katie gave some hints to what she was planning in her interview with Elle. Read this excerpt and tell me what you think.

“He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that. Things are not handed to anyone. If anything, you work a little bit harder when you’re in such visible circumstances.

“[In your 20s] It’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out. I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase.”

It does sound like Katie was thinking about making some major life changes, although I still don’t think anyone would have guessed that divorce was among them! Yet it’s funny: everyone I know kept saying this marriage wouldn’t last, but that doesn’t make anyone any less surprised. I guess because there weren’t any obvious signs of problems between Katie and Tom.

As usual, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) didn’t make a single fashion misstep at another public event. This woman has got a great, yet appropriate, fashion down perfectly! I’m loving this yellow coatdress and WANT the clutch.

Prince William (one of his many titles is Earl of Strathearn, so in Strathearn, Catherine is actually known as Countess of Strathearn) was installed as a new Knight of the Ancient Order of the Thistle. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were also on hand for the installation. Looks like it was quite a ceremony! It’s the highest honor of chivalry in Scotland given by the Queen.

According to Radar Online, Demi Moore’s daughters have finally had enough with all of their mother’s drama and have cut off all contact with her for the time being. Demi and her daughters reportedly have had “a series of fights,” which is what led to the estrangement.

“Rumer, Scout and Tallulah just don’t want to deal with the drama at the moment. Since breaking up with Ashton, Demi has been a mess. The girls were there for her through it all — the split and the rehab but now they just feel like they need a little distance.

“Demi is just being very needy right now and the girls are tired of it, they want a mother not another little sister. They are all concerned that she is going to relapse and head back to rehab and they can’t deal with the stress and worry of it.”

Apparently, Tallulah’s graduation was a serious point of contention: the girls didn’t want Demi there (Ouch!) but she came anyway. Another major issue is their ongoing relationship with Ashton Kutcher.

“They all adore him and talk to him regularly which Demi hates, but he was a huge part of their lives when they were growing up and they don’t want to break off all contact with him. This won’t be forever, but for now the girls just need a little breathing space and to concentrate on themselves and their own lives.”

I can see the girls’ points: it’s tough to be a mother to your own mother when you’re barely an adult yourself! And they’ve practically grown up with Ashton: he’s another father figure in their lives. Yet I can see where Demi would view that as a betrayal, given how Ashton treated her. Hopefully they’re able to work this out, and Demi can get help from appropriate places. IF this story is true.

Lindsay Lohan is a redhead again! She’s finished filming ‘Liz & Dick’ and decided to celebrate the 4th of July at Shore Bar in Santa Monica. I’m glad Lindsay’s back to her red locks: I think they’re more flattering than the darker look she needed to look like Elizabeth Taylor. And those polka dot heels are cute!

I’m a little worried seeing Lindsay leave a bar, but at least she should be commended for successfully completing her work on ‘Liz & Dick.’ That’s quite an accomplishment for her after everything that’s happened! I bet the Lifetime executives were really celebrating when they wrapped filming- LOL.
