Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are gearing up for their first showdown in court, which is scheduled to occur on July 17 in New York City. Katie’s friends have told Radar Online that she has advantage.

“Katie clearly has the upper hand in the proceedings at
this point. It can’t be emphasised enough that she took these
extraordinary measures to protect her daughter, Suri.”

“Tom will have to file a formal response to Katie’s divorce petition in New York, and he is going to submit a motion to have the case dismissed because he believes it isn’t the proper venue. Tom is hopeful that New York will do the right thing and allow him to file in California.

“Tom’s Los Angeles lawyers have officially been given notice. Tom’s New York lawyer will appear and it’s undetermined at this time if Tom will be in court also because he is currently shooting a movie.”

Lady Gaga enjoyed a dinner at the Nobu restaurant in the Crown Perth Hotel in Western Australia. She was wearing another interesting dress that managed to reveal and cover up a lot simultaneously, and she’s rocking the stilts platform shoes. That’s a talented design right there- LOL. I’m looking to see Lady Gaga in the Alexander McQueen gown that she bought at auction for over $130,000.

THAT ivory gown must be gorgeous for that type of money! Then again, I’m sure Lady Gaga has it to spend at this point. With the support of her “Little Monsters” the singer has become a phenomenon.

Ellen Pompeo is making the most of her summer hiatus from ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘: she was spotted shopping at Garde with a friend. Ellen should treat herself: TV is said to include brutally long hours on set, and it’s about nine months out of the year (compared to the maybe three-four months to shoot a film). Ellen works hard, so she should enjoy some of the fruits of her labor.

I wonder what Ellen got? She’s so low-key I doubt it was anything really extravagant or showy. Hey, as long as she likes it, that’s the important thing. I’m already wondering how Ellen’s character, Meredith, is going to cope with all that happened in the latest ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season finale. I won’t spoil it in case you haven’t seen it yet, but it was a DOOZY!

Britney Spears, fiance Jason Trawick, and her sons, Jayden and Sean, were spotted wrapping up their Hawaiian vacation and heading for the airport. No wonder no one looked too happy: it’s not easy to leave a beautiful, peaceful place like Maui! I’d probably be a little tearful- LOL. They were only spotted arriving about four days ago: it was a short vacation.

Britney must be enjoying her downtime from ‘X Factor.’ I’d imagine taping the reality TV competition was easier than touring (she wasn’t performing several nights a week), but I wonder how she found the experience of being a judge. I’m curious to see her judging (which, of course, is what Simon Cowell is banking on). Are you?

Low-key actress Mandy Moore was spotted leaving the Bungalow hair salon in Beverly Hills earlier today. That’s a great place to be right before you kick off the weekend! Mandy’s style was casual but she made sure she had a little bit of color with those bright red flats. I’m loving that bag, too.

I’ve always been a fan of Mandy’s just because she’s so laid-back. She’s one of those actresses who just seems very relatable because she seems so “normal.” Are you a fan?
