For those of you who’ve read ‘The Hunger Games‘ trilogy, you know Plutarch Heavensbee ends up becoming a pretty major character in ‘Catching Fire‘ (the second book). For those of you who are reading ‘The Hunger Games‘ books or just watching the movies, I won’t spoil it, but the studio has cast a great actor to portray Plutarch on the big screen: Philip Seymour Hoffman!
Philip is the first new actor to officially join the franchise, according to Entertainment Weekly, although Jena Malone has also been rumored to be cast as Johanna Mason (another key role that I won’t give away for those of you who haven’t read ‘Catching Fire,’ but she’s a perfect choice). I am SO excited to see this movie!
