Tom Cruise is a consummate professional: despite being “blindsided” by Katie Holmes’ divorce filing and then working with attorneys to get a speedy divorce settlement in place, he’s back at work. He’s shooting for his film ‘Oblivion.’ You’d never know he’s just experienced such a radical shift in his life from looking at him here, would you? People claims Tom is “still stunned.” A source said:

“[Tom] was a happy man and thought he had a happy life. He keeps asking, ‘What’s happening?’ “

That just makes me sad. I mean, marriages end in divorce, and Tom has been through this twice before, but… it’s just sad. If Tom is as controlling as he’s rumored to be, then I can see why Katie had to resort to extreme measures to plan her split from him, but it seems hard to believe he didn’t even realize she was so unhappy? At least they were able to avoid a nasty court battle. That should help them both move on faster.

Well here’s a celebrity sighting we don’t see too often. Academy Award winning actress Hilary Swank was spotted filming scenes for her upcoming movie, “Mary and Martha” with a young co-star in Wilmington, North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon.

The actress had on a basic white tee and mint-colored pants and carried around a bag full of sunflowers. We haven’t seen Hilary on the big screen for quite some time as she’s been laying low so it will be interesting to see her in this film. Check out our photo gallery below and tell us what you think. Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves (I guess know we have to start calling her McConaughey, don’t we?) announced their happy news: they’re expecting their third child together. They waited as long as they could, but if Camila was going to accompany Matthew for the ‘Magic Mike‘ premieres in Europe, they had no choice. Camila’s belly would’ve made the announcement for them! Here’s our first glimpse of Camila’s baby bump at the ‘Magic Mike’ premiere in London.

Camila looks so cute! The fitted dress’ print hides everything from the front, but from the side, the bump is clearly visible. Camila and Matthew have had such an exciting year so far, from moving to Texas to getting married to expanding their family. 2012 will be a big year for this family to remember!

Now that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached a confidential divorce settlement, more details are coming out about how Katie planned to leave her marriage. It sounds like she really had to go out of her way to keep her plans a secret, from using disposable phones to talk to her lawyers to hiring attorneys at three different law firms in three different states. Goodness! A source told People Katie realized:

“she no longer had the life she wanted, in terms of her career, her way of life, everything. Once she decided to go, she was done.”

Katie’s father, who’s also an attorney, was instrumental in helping her plan. Us Weekly reports that Katie even reached out to Nicole Kidman for help in planning the split, although I find that one hard to believe. Nicole has been open about her estrangement from her kids, and Katie’s comments to reporters that Connor and Isabella call her “Mom” had to have stung. Deeply. But who knows?

Well, now we know Maleficent can fly! Here’s Angelina Jolie, back on set after receiving an award at the Sarajevo Film Festival. It looks like she spent the day in a harness, flying to wherever Maleficent had to fly to. I still can’t get over the sight of Angelina with those horns.

All I’ve heard about in terms of the plot of ‘Maleficent’ is that it shows us how she came to be evil. I’m definitely interested, and as I think about it, this idea gave the writers leeway to do just about anything. Will we even see much of Snow White? Angelina is so popular, we won’t even care- LOL.

Demi Lovato wants entertainers to be responsible. When a rapping duo including lyrics about smoking bath salts during an ‘X Factor‘ audition, the new judge immediately called them on it. (In case you didn’t know, bath salts have been linked to several recent incidents where people physically attacked others, including biting them.) Demi even kicked them off the stage! A source told E! News:

“She wasn’t having any of it. She said ‘It’s really irresponsible to be rapping about drugs in front of kids.’ Then they tried to make excuses and Demi said, ‘You talked about bath salts, I heard you.’”

And then she had them leave, backed by the other judges. I guess ‘X Factor’ is going for cleaner lyrics than what’s often found in rap and hip hop, which is great. I do wonder if the rappers were warned, though? It seems a little unfair if they weren’t told ahead of time not to include references to drugs, since that’s so common in the music industry. But good for Demi for encouraging responsibility!
