Actress Eva Longoria got behind the camera for this children’s birthday party! She photographed the activities while the kids had fun. That’s quite a camera Eva has. I wonder if she is into photography or if she bought the camera for this special occasion.

Eva knows plenty of directors and cinematographers to ask for tips, so she probably got some great shots. Kids are so much fun to photograph: they’re a lot less inhibited than adults tend to be. Photography is on my to-do list of things to pick up, but that list is pretty long!

Katie Holmes continues to hang out with her adorable little girl, Suri. They made another visit to the Children’s Art Museum. Suri got her face painted. Then the duo stopped by FAO Schwartz where Suri got a new toy (that’s what she’s clinging to in the pictures). Finally Katie treated her to some ice cream.

Talk about a perfect way to wrap up a hot summer afternoon! The heat wave has eased up a little, but ice cream is still a great way to stay cool. Then again, ice cream is a great way to stay cool without a heat wave- LOL. Katie and Suri seem to be having a blast in the city.

‘The Help‘ and ‘Lawless‘ star Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy were hard at work on the set of ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.’ Have you heard about this movie? It’s a double feature, meaning they will make two movies. One movie will be from the perspective of James’ character, and the other movie will be from the perspective of Jessica’s character.

One will be called ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him’ and the other will be called ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her.’ This is a different way of stretching out a concept into multiple movies! I’m going to be on the look out for this one. If the mystery is good enough, this could be interesting.

Ellen Pompeo got her weekend off to a good start with some pampering. The ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ star was seen making her way back to her car after getting a facial and massage. Sounds heavenly! It was a tight squeeze getting into her car, but Ellen’s so thin, I’m sure she had no problems.

Don’t TV actors generally report to work in August to start filming for the fall? Ellen needs to make the most of the next couple of weeks: her summer break is about to come to an end! I’d imagine Ellen is grateful to be on an ensemble show despite being the title character: she doesn’t have to be in virtually every scene, like the sole star of a show does.

Heidi Klum had fun hamming it up for the cameras at her book signing for her ‘Project Runway’ book. I didn’t know she had a book coming out about ‘Project Runway‘! I don’t get a chance to catch every season of the show, but whenever I do watch it, I always become fascinated by the process. I’m going to have to stop by my local Barnes and Nobles to take a look at Heidi’s ‘Project Runway’ book.

Heidi looks great, as always. Mixing prints takes a certain about of fashion bravery, but Heidi is a former model. She makes it work! I like the top and even the skirt, which is saying something since I’m not always a fan of polka dots. Then again, Heidi could wear a burlap sack and make it look great.

We haven’t seen much of Amanda Seyfried in a while, but she’s been pretty busy. Amanda co-stars in ‘Les Miserables’ along with Anne Hathaway. She also wrapped filming on ‘The Wedding,’ and she did a voice over role in ‘Epic.  This busy actress doesn’t have long to rest, either: she has a role in the movie ‘Pete and Goat,’ which is in pre-production. Goodness!

Yet Amanda is keeping in shape in between movies, hiking with her favorite exercise buddy, Finn. Hiking is a great way to work out- far better than running on a treadmill and staring around at the gym. Then again, the gym has air conditioning. Tough call!
