This is a teaser trailer for a movie starring Will Smith and his son, Jaden. The movie is called ‘After Earth.’ What’s most interesting about this teaser trailer is that you don’t see a single piece of footage from the film. You also don’t see its stars, Will and Jaden. Instead, this trailer “sets up” the world. This trailer is all backstory.

Entertainment Weekly says this is a new way Hollywood is selling movies. It’s called the “quasi-viral soft sell.” I have to admit, it’s worked on me. I’m now curious about ‘After Earth’! I’ll be looking for a full trailer: something tells me it’ll be out soon.
