Charlie Sheen Is “Genuinely Interested” In Joining ‘American Idol’

Could Charlie Sheen be joining Randy Jacksonat the judges table on American Idol next season? Well, nothing is set in stone yet, but the Anger Management star has made it clear that he’s “genuinely interested.”
After producer Nigel Lythgoe threw Charlie’s name into the ring as one of the possible replacements, the actor responded but has yet to hear back.
“It kind of came out of nowhere and I responded with a quote just to sort of check the temperature of it or test the waters, haven’t heard anything back,” Charlie said during On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “I guess it got some people curious.”
While I would’ve never pictured Charlie to be on the short list for potential Idol judges, the small-screen star is keen to the idea of trying something “different.”
“It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense. I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously…I’m genuinely interested. It’s so different, it could be radical.”
Charlie would definitely bring his own unique flair to the long-running reality series, but I have to ask, would you watch if Mr. Sheen joined the Idol team?
