Ever since I saw Ricki Lake compete on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I knew she was one person I’d love to see return to daytime TV. And now she is! Here’s the first promo for her new daytime talk show, ‘The Ricki Lake Show.’ She’s reconnecting with her girlfriends and willing to talk about anything. This includes sex, of course- LOL.

Ricki’s new show will premiere on September 10 (that seems to be THE day for daytime TV premieres). I’m going to check it out. I liked Ricki when she was on TV before, and we’re still feeling the void left by the end of ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show.’ Are you interested?

Kris Humphries may get the last laugh after all with the drama he’s suffered with Kim Kardashian. Kim is trying to move on with Kanye West, but remember how we first found out they were dating? Kanye “announced” it in a rap song. One line of the lyrics in the song took a dig at Kris. The line was:

“Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team.”

Jay-Z is one of the owners of the New York Nets and one of Kanye’s friends (and musical collaborators). That’s the team Kris plays on in the NBA. Well, Kris just signed a two year, $24 million deal with the New York Nets. Kris tweeted:

I’m up at Brooklyn! @S_C_ ”lucky I didn’t have Jay drop me from the team” lol!

@S_C_, for those of you who don’t know, is Jay-Z’s twitter handle. Add in the bullet Kris dodged when the girl who claimed to be pregnant with his child later recanted, and it looks like things are going well for Kris these days. I’m still curious about how this divorce will ultimately play out: now Kris certainly has the resources to fight.

According to OK! magazine, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are preparing to welcome a baby boy! They already have daughter Charlotte Grace. A son would give them one of each, which insiders say Sarah and Freddie are both happy about. An insider dished:

“Sarah was secretly hoping for a boy. She realizes this will most likely be the last baby she has, so she’s so happy she’ll have the experience of raising one of each. Freddie is incredibly pumped it’s a boy. He can’t wait to coach him in sports when he’s older.”

There hasn’t been any official confirmation. We’ll find out once the baby arrives. Regardless, expanding your family is exciting! Can’t wait to find out if Sarah and Freddie have a ton of blue or pink in their nursery.

Janet Jackson is said to be “furious” about Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, getting into acting. Paris has a role in the movie ‘Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys’ and wants more roles, according to Us Weekly, but Janet is opposed. Janet’s concern is that this goes against the late Michael Jackson’s wishes. Michael wanted to keep his kids out of the spotlight and enjoy their childhood rather than work like he had. An insider told Us Weekly:

“She feels it goes against Michael’s wishes to keep his kids out of the the limelight until age 18. Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college. It’s a huge dispute!”

I’ve been wondering about this myself. Michael Jackson wasn’t shy about talking about just how much he missed being a child while he was working as a singer for The Jackson Five. He also went so far as to have his kids go out wearing masks to keep them from being photographed. Yet his family hasn’t been as careful as he was. Something tells me Michael would tell Paris the same thing Janet reportedly told her: ”You’re only a child once.”

People.com reports Tom Cruise is still reeling from his abrupt divorce from Katie Holmes. Sources close to him say Tom’s trying to figure out what happened. He also reportedly had a rough time being separated from Suri for a month. Tom may have recently celebrated a landmark birthday when he turned 50, but he wasn’t prepared for all of these changes. A source who knows both Tom and Katie said:

“[Throughout the divorce, Tom] was thinking, ‘What did I not see?’”

Oh, poor guy. It’s one thing to know your marriage is in trouble but another to have no idea your spouse is so unhappy. Tom’s entertainment lawyer, Bert Fields, said the actor agreed to a divorce settlement so quickly because he wanted “to do what’s right for Suri.” So why did it take a month for Tom to be able to come visit her?

“He’s wanted to see her as fast as possible since this started. He couldn’t shut down production [on 'Oblivion'], cost people their jobs. People count on him.”

Tom is said to be leaning heavily on his two older children, Isabella and Connor, as well as his three sisters and mother. All of them are also Scientologists, and a source close to Tom said he “is not ashamed of his beliefs and won’t hide them from his daughter.” Tom surely will expose Suri to Scientology, but it sounds like Katie has made sure she will still make the main decisions regarding Suri’s upbringing.

Former ‘American Idol’ judge Jennifer Lopez has been married three times. Even though all three marriages ultimately ended in divorce, she said she’s still open to getting married again. Jennifer refused to discuss boyfriend Casper Smart in this interview. Things must obviously being going well between them, though.

“For me, the biggest dream is the fairy tale. I will never give up on that dream [of marriage].”

Although Jennifer didn’t discuss Casper directly, Casper himself was more forthcoming.

“Sometimes I tell her something – you know, give her notes. Sometimes she gives me notes. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter whose position is what, because she’s the boss. I don’t think it was [love at first sight] for either of us. It was very natural how it happened. There was nothing before. No flirting, nothing before. Just natural. It just happened.”

Something tells me Jennifer will get married again. I don’t know if she’s going to marry Casper or not, but I think she’ll marry someone. She doesn’t strike me as the type of woman who likes being single. What has she got to lose by giving marriage another try?
