I can’t even explain how much more I like Christian Bale now after this. The ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ actor, along with his wife Sibi Blazic, travelled to Aurora, Colorado today to make personal visits and offer his condolences to those who were victims of last week’s horrific shooting at a midnight showing of his latest film. Christian visited with those who were hurt and posed for pictures including the one above of him and one with victim Carey Rottman. In fact the actor requested that his visit be kept quiet and it was only when Rottman tweeted out the above pic that his visit was made known. What an awesome thing to do. I know that it can’t change the tragedy that happened but I bet it sure brightened the day of those who needed it most.

According to the Denver Post, Bill Voloch, interim president of Medical Center of Aurora stated that;

“The patients were really happy to meet Bale. They are obviously big fans of his movies. They wanted to see Batman and were really pleased to see Bale.”

“It was good for the patients. We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming.”

As a result of the tragedy Warner Bros. has cancelled some of the European premiere’s as well as cast publicity tours. What a wonderful thing Christian did. Good for him.
