NBC is developing a new TV series based on the classic novel, Dram Stroker’s ‘Dracula.‘ Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been tapped for the iconic role of Count Dracula. This TV show will be set in the Victorian period with a “look to the future.” NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt said:

“In the world of ‘Twilight’ and ‘True Blood’ and all the contemporised stories, we thought we’d go back to the original.”

The story will be set in the 1890s in London, and Jonathan’s Count Dracula will lead a “double life” as an American businessman trying to introduce modern science to Victorian society. He’ll also be plotting ways to exact revenge on people who ruined his life centuries early, but his efforts will be derailed when he falls in love. Hmmm… Sound interesting?

Matthew McConaughey said he wanted to “shake things up” with his film roles. He meant Every Word! In ‘Killer Joe’ Matthew plays a cop who has a “side business.” In his “side business” Matthew’s character works as an assassin. No romantic leading man here!

Yet Matthew’s character is not your typical assassin, either. Check out the trailer. ‘Killer Joe’ looks like it will Shred Your Nerves. Love it! Kristen Stewart continues to apologize for cheating on Robert Pattinson with her director for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ Rupert Sanders. Yesterday she focused on apologizing directly to Robert. Kristen’s planning to apologize to Liberty Ross, Rupert’s wife, in writing, according to Radar Online.

“Kristen didn’t feel it was appropriate to issue a public apology to Liberty once the story of her affair with Rupert broke. Instead, she’s going to do the decent thing and write Liberty a private letter expressing her deepest regret for her actions.

“She was thinking of including Liberty, Rupert and the kids in her public apology – but Kristen was so desperate to save her relationship with Rob she decided to concentrate on that first.

“Kristen feels she made a terribly naïve mistake and will do anything to make amends. The fact that Liberty and Rupert have two kids has now dawned on her and she feels awful for what she did.”

NOW it dawns on her? Oy vey. Well, Kristen is young. Rupert is nearly 20 years older: you could argue he never should have let things get out of control like this. But something tells me Kristen’s apologies aren’t over yet. If this ‘Twilight’ fan’s reaction is any indication, A LOT of people are extremely upset. The promotion for ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ could turn into a “mea culpa” tour for Kristen. (WARNING: this seriously distraught fan drops an F bomb or two, so you may not want the little ones listening)

Katherine Jackson is reunited with her grandchildren (Paris Jackson tweeted: grandma’s here ! #thankyougod <33), but the Jackson family drama is far from over. Katherine says she’s “devastated” about losing custody of Michael Jackson’s three children. She told ABC News she simply decided to take a vacation away from her phone.

You can see a clip of her interview below. Katherine’s reading from a prepared statement, surrounded by the Jackson children who are attempting to get the executors removed and refused to let anyone talk to her. After Katherine returned home, Prince Michael tweeted:

“Although I am happy my grandma was returned, after speaking with her I realized how misguided and how badly she was lied to. I’m really angry and hurt. For this whole time, they denied us contact to our grandmother. If you continue with your lies I will continue with the truth. As long as I can remember my dad had repeatedly warned me of certain people and their ways.”

Prince’s tweets are protected, so these quotes are via TMZ. Prince Michael also posted a copy of a text message where he demanded to speak to his grandmother and a text labeled from Janet Jackson reads “Don’t let them pls.” It sounds like Katherine is in an impossible situation: she’s trying to protect her children and her grandchildren. But how can any guardian of minors just disappear? I don’t think the judge will accept this explanation. The whole fiasco is so incredibly sad.

After enjoying the afternoon with her daughter Ava, Reese Witherspoon was spotted out and about solo yesterday. The mommy-to-be lunched at Bouchon Restaurant in Beverly Hills with gal pals on Wednesday, before she headed on her way.

Talk about packing on the PDA! Yesterday afternoon, costars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler shared a kiss for the cameras as they shot a romantic scene for their upcoming film, They Came Together, in NYC.

To be honest, I haven’t heard much about Paul and Amy’s new flick. Though it boasts an all-star cast, including Cobie Smulders, Ed Helms and Christopher Meloni, we have to wait until 2014 to see it on the big screen. Until then, these on set pics will have to do … at least until the trailer comes out! ;]
