Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa, are expecting their baby boy on September 15 (or around then). Exciting! So how is first-time dad Nick preparing for his son’s arrival?

“I think the constant feedback is, ‘Get all the sleep you can now because you’re not going to get it once the baby gets here.’ I’ve definitely tried to take that to heart and get rest before he gets here.

“I don’t think you can prepare yourself for this. I think you just have to know you want to do it and jump in with both feet, and you’ll be great.”

Nick’s got the right attitude. Nothing CAN really prepare you for what it’s like to have a newborn until it happens. And you know what? You deal. Whatever it is, you just deal with it. There’s no other choice!

Michael Buble married Argentinian model Luisana Lopilato last April. Luisana struggled with something MANY wives know: her husband’s messiness. Specifically, Michael apparently wasn’t very good about picking up after himself. So what did Luisana do?

“I got so fed up with Michael leaving all his clothes lying on the floor that I threw them all in the swimming pool. I did it several times. I can’t say that I have trained him but he tries very hard when he’s with me now.”

Goodness! I know many wives who’ve been tempted to do something like this, but I don’t know any who’ve actually done it- LOL. Michael must really not care to have not responded to this. Do any of you who are married/living with your significant other have any housetraining stories to share?

Oh no! ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ cast member Adrienne Maloof is splitting from her husband of nine years, Dr. Paul Nassif. Adrienne explained to Radar Online she and Paul are splitting for the sake of their three boys.

“I’m so sorry that this is happening but my children are my life and sometimes we need to do what’s best for them. It’s an unfortunate situation but, I have to have my kids best interest at heart.”

This is an interesting switch: most couple try to make their marriage work for their kids’ sakes. Adrienne and Paul must’ve been having some serious arguments or something that made the home too tense for the kids. It’s too bad, but hopefully they’ll be able to co-parent successfully.

Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, admit after three years of marriage, they’re starting to feel the pressure to have some kids. They are about to premiere their new reality TV show,  ’Married to Jonas,’ but it sounds like their families want them to produce something besides a TV show! Kevin explained:

“People are like, ‘All right guys, what’s your plan? When are you going to have those grandkids?’”

Danielle chimed in:

“My mom wants a grandkid bad. It’s getting boring now.”

Well, Kevin is only 24, and Danielle’s 26. I’d say they have plenty of time, even if they have been married for three years! Do you plan to tune in to check out ‘Married to Jonas’ on the E! channel?

I’ve heard of the book ‘Cloud Atlas.’ It’s on my to-read list, but to be honest, that list is pretty long! Now ‘Cloud Atlas’ has been adapted to the big screen with quite a cast: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry (this is the movie where she injured her foot), Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant are just a few of the big names. This is the extended trailer, and I’m still trying to figure out what it’s about!

The nearest I can figure, ‘Cloud Atlas’ is about reincarnation through multiple lives, maybe? It seems to move in time from the past to a futuristic world. Perhaps it’s about people who are destined to find each other or try to learn from past mistakes. I’m not sure, but I know I’m intrigued after watching this trailer! Has anyone read ‘Cloud Atlas’? If so, would you recommend it?

The fallout from Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal continues. Her relationship with Robert Pattinson appears to be over (given the moving trucks outside their home). A studio executive spoke to Hollywood Life. What the executive said indicates this could have significant career repercussions for Kristen as well as personal ones.

“Right now there is nothing Kristen Stewart can do to save her career. Her career exists on her fans and right now her fans are not happy. They feel betrayed, they are upset, it’s not a good sign for Kristen. The reason Kristen became so successful in the first place was because of her fans. For studio executives, fan base equals box-office dollars. If Kristen loses her fans she loses value! It doesn’t matter that she is only 22-years-old and was may have been taken advantage of by her older director, her fans are that age or younger and they may not forgive her. They were all hoping that the photos were photo-shopped. So many hearts were broken, not just Rob’s, but all of her fans. Bella Swan would NEVER do something like this!”

In addition to unhappy ‘Twilight’ fans, the outcome of the ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ sequel is in jeopardy.

“None of the studios are going to want to work with a married director who publicly hooks up with the much younger leading lady,” one Hollywood source told Page Six. Another added, “Female moviegoers were just looking for a reason to dislike Kristen Stewart, and now they’ve got it.”

Do you think we female moviegoers were looking for a reason to dislike Kristen? That seems a little harsh! Yet even ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ studio executives are worried about how this cheating scandal will impact the movie. I think fans will still go see it. Kristen may not get the warmest reception during the press tour, though!
