Footwear places women into two distinct camps: those who will not wear anything without a heel and those who will not wear anything that is not flat. Guess which category Eva Longoria falls into? Eva explained herself to Lucky magazine:

“I was born in platform heels. I actually always fall down when I’m wearing flip-flops.”

LOL! I’m not sure I believe Eva “falls down” in flip-flops, but it’s clear that Eva’s not giving up her heels. You can see why Eva and Victoria Beckham are BFFs!

Oh, this is too bad. Bret Michaels called off his engagement to Kristi Gibbons. The two became engaged in 2010. They have two daughters together, Raine and Jorja. Bret wrote on his website:

With all that Kristi, Raine, Jorja and I are going through, no doubt this is a very difficult time for all of us. I want all of you to know that Kristi and I remain great friends and committed loving parents to our daughters. I am blessed to have someone as great as Kristi in my life in any capacity.

Bret’s publicist confirmed the sad news to USA Today. They’ve been together for so long: I wonder what keeps them from making it official? Well, I guess it’s better to know marriage isn’t right before getting married rather than afterwards.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West went sleeveless when they went to go see the Broadway musical ‘Fela!’ I wonder if they were intentionally coordinating? This is one couple that likes their clothes and fashion. We saw them spending quite a few times at the European Fashion Weeks.

They’ve been keeping a rather low profile in New York City lately. Yet Kimye seems to be going strong! At this point, I won’t be surprised if they end up engaged.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s families are said to be “shocked” over the revelation that Kristen cheated on Robert with her director for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ Rupert Sanders. A source said:

“Rob and Kristen have been closer than ever recently, and until this week the family was expecting them to get engaged.”

Kristen’s public apology apparently hasn’t been enough for Robert to forgive.

“Rob was indifferent to her statement. Kristen wrote it and she’s desperately trying to make up for the fling by expressing her love for him. It’s incredible not only would Kristen do this, but to do so in public beggars belief. Rob needs to get his head round it.”

One thing Robert reportedly is upset about is that his agent was the one who told him about Kristen cheating, rather than Kristen telling him herself. I can understand being upset about that!

 ”It was like a bolt out of the blue. He was on his own when he got a call from his agent and there was stunned silence as he tried to take it all in. When he confronted Kristen about it, she didn’t try to deny anything. She was crying and kept saying, ‘I’m sorry.’ “

Robert is said to be in the UK trying to deal with this news.

The newest royal is making her name as a fashion icon: the former Kate Middleton, now Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, topped Vanity Fair’s Best Dressed List for 2012. Prince Charles reportedly spent $55,000 on designer clothes for the Duchess (I guess this is before Prince William got his inheritance from his mother), but Kate is known for being a “frugal” shopper. She doesn’t even use a dresser but instead shops for herself. Impressive: she hasn’t made a single fashion misstep!

While this is Kate’s third time on the list, her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, made the list for the first time, along with Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi. Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain made the list for the first time. Jay-Z made his debut on the list, and Alicia Keyes made the list for only the second time (her first was in 2009). I love Vanity Fair’s “Best Dressed” list: I’ll be looking out for the September issue!
