Ryan Lochte plans to remain a competitive swimmer, but he’s ready to do other things as well: like reality TV. In addition to having offers to do his own reality TV show, Ryan reportedly is in the running for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘The Bachelor.’ When asked which show Ryan would want to do first, he picked ‘DWTS.’

“It’s a competition and I have that competitive edge in me.”

Could he and Michael Phelps be heading for another showdown: this time on the dance floor? Maybe, maybe not. In another interview, Ryan said he’s open to ‘The Bachelor.’

“I’m definitely looking towards Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor, so we’ll see what happens. I definitely want to move to L.A. That’s been a big goal of mine, getting into fashion because that is my passion. I definitely want to get into fashion and design my own clothing line.”

Hmmm… between reality TV shows and fashion, where is Ryan going to find the time to train for the 2016 Olympics in Rio? He’d better pace himself! Would you rather see Ryan on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ or ‘The Bachelor’? Or should he stay in the pool for now?

The world may have been shocked when Katie Holmes’ filed for divorce from Tom Cruise, but their daughter, Suri, reportedly is “adjusting well” to her parents’ split. With all the traveling Tom and Katie have to do (especially Tom to shoot his films), I bet Suri’s used to him being away. A source told Radar Online:

“Both Katie and Tom have really gone out of their way to make sure the transition between both households is as easy and normal as possible for Suri. Tom and Katie aren’t fighting with each other because they haven’t seen each other and so Suri has been protected from any uncomfortable situations. And both have agreed to not say anything derogatory about the other.”

Good for Katie and Tom! And as I guessed above…

“Suri is used to her dad being away filming and not spending every single day with him. She loves the daddy daughter time they get together and loves the trips so this isn’t a new thing for her. She always spent time with him either on set or at home and even on vacation so she’s really adjusted well.”

Katie’s making some changes for Suri in terms of giving her responsibilities, and Suri’s even responding well to that!

“Suri likes doing the little things that Katie asks her to do, she has fun and Katie isn’t making her feel like she’s being punished at all.”

This is great to hear. More parents need to handle a divorce as well as Tom and Katie.

Cameron Diaz threw her very pregnant BFF, Drew Barrymore, a baby shower! It was a co-ed baby shower, so Drew’s husband, Will Kopelman, was also there. Cameron held it in the backyard of her home in LA. Us Weekly reports:

“Kids were jumping in a bouncy castle,” a source says of the shindig, where 50 guests splashed around in the pool and noshed on chips and guacamole.

Sounds like fun! And with kids present, Drew got a preview of what she’s in for (not that anything can REALLY prepare you – LOL). I’m guessing Drew doesn’t have much longer before she gives birth. Exciting!

Do you watch ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’ on OWN? It’s one of my favorite shows! Oprah Winfrey interviews Rihanna for the next new episode, which airs later this month (August 19). Oprah admits in this promo that she was surprised by Rihanna.

Oprah said she expected Rihanna to be a “bada**” (yes, she does say the word, just once, but you may want to cover the little ones’ ears: it’s right at the beginning). Yet she says Rihanna was nothing like that. I have to say, I’ve been wondering what Rihanna’s like as a person after all the tabloid drama gets stripped away. This may be a chance to find out! Are you interested in watching?

Hmmm… this is an interesting story. Radar Online reports Robert Pattinson is moving through the “stages of heartbreak.” Robert is said to be moving out of the anger phase and now may be ready to at least consider reconciling with Kristen Stewart after she cheated on him.

“Rob was super angry for the first couple of weeks. Angry at Kristen for ruining what they had, angry at her for the public embarrassment, angry at Rupert [Sanders]. But he’s starting to wind down and really think about what he’s going to do regarding his relationship with Kristen. He goes back and forth…”

Robert is said to be asking his friends for advice. Their advice for him is conflicting, as tends to be the case in situations like this.

“There’s definitely some friends who think he should just move on from Kristen, but then there are others who still think Rob and Kristen really have a special connection and want him to give her another chance. He has a lot to think about and hasn’t decided either way right now.”

As if this weren’t enough drama, Robert is preparing to do press for his new movie, ‘Cosmopolis.’

“Rob’s always been a bit of an awkward nervous guy, but his appearances in New York next week have him frazzled. He’s keen on promoting his new movie, but he really doesn’t want to address his personal life or the cheating scandal because he’s just not ready yet and doesn’t want to say anything he’d regret.”

Robert’s going to be in quite a bind next week! Hopefully he decides on what he wants to say before he sits down for any interviews, because he’s surely going to get LOTS of questions about this.

It’s been quite awhile since we’ve spotted Ellen DeGeneres on the SoCal scene, but yesterday afternoon, the TV personality stepped out solo in West Hollywood. On Aug. 9, Ellen departed Salon Benjamin by herself. The talk show host seemed to be in great spirits as she smiled for the paps while strolling on the sidewalk.

With her show on hiatus for the summer, it looks like Ellen is enjoying her time off with some much-deserved R&R!
