Robert Pattinson reportedly hasn’t spoken directly to Kristen Stewart since he found out she cheated on him with her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director, Rupert Sanders. Now, after spending some time holed up at Reese Witherspoon’s Ojai home, hanging out with friends, and re-emerging in the public eye to promote ‘Cosmopolis,’ Robert is ready to sit down for a face-to-face meeting with Kristen. A source says:

“Rob needed time to deal with his huge shock and upset, but he’s agreed to face her. He’s back in LA [to promote his new film 'Cosmopolis']. Now he has all his friends around him, he’s started feeling stronger. He’s incredibly hurt, but he still cares about Kristen and is actually worried about how upset she has been. A reconciliation is not on the cards, but they both know they need to thrash things out.”

I thought it was very classy of Robert to take the high road on ‘The Daily Show’ yesterday. It sounds like they’ll at least be able to figure out a way to get through the promotional events for ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2,’ even if their relationship is over. (Just FYI: these pictures are of Robert and Kristen having dinner in Paris back in March.)

Miley Cyrus is going to briefly return to her small screen roots next season with a guest star role in ‘Two and a Half Men.’ According to E! News:

Cyrus will reportedly appear in at least several episodes of the show playing a new girl who comes to town and sparks the romantic interest of Angus T. Jones‘ character, Jake Harper.

According to our source, the character will be “sexy” and “rife with comedy.”

Gwen Stefani graces the cover of the September 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, but she isn’t the only interesting person in the magazine! ‘Downtown Abbey‘ star Michelle Dockery also sat down for an interview. LOVE these pictures of her. Michelle showcases looks by Ralph Lauren Collection, Tom Ford, Alberta Ferretti, J. Mendel, and Etro in the photoshoot. Here are some excerpts from Michelle’s interview:

On being cast in ‘Downtown Abbey’: “Until then I’d played much more vulnerable parts, but I remember coming out of the audition, and Dan Stevens [who plays Mary’s handsome love interest, Matthew, and with whom Dockery previously appeared in the TV movie The Turn of the Screw] was in the waiting room. I said, ‘Who are you up for?’ and he said, ‘Matthew.’ She laughs. “I walked out and thought, Oh, that could work.”

Why she believes Downton is so celebrated, especially in the U.S.: “I think some period drama can be quite alienating, but Downton isn’t,” she says. “This is going to sound quite, um, pretentious, but someone said that it’s like a soap written by a poet.”

Michelle thinks her character, Lady Mary, would be very modern if she lived today: “She’d be in charge, her own boss. She’d have married very well and maybe had kids, but I don’t think she’d be particularly maternal.” She laughs. “She’d definitely have help.” As for modern Mary’s style: “Armani. Simple, clean.”

She characterizes her own look in a similar way. She’s a fan of actress Charlotte Gainsbourg’s boyish aesthetic. “Very French, understated. That’s the kind of style I go for.”

She maintains her figure with workouts at her gym in London’s Shoreditch. On location, however, it’s harder to work out: “Once you’re in costume, you can’t really exercise in a corset.”

‘The Bourne Legacy‘ star Jeremy Renner was asked about the Kardashianswhile promoting his new movie in the UK. Like Jon Hamm, he doesn’t have the highest opinion of them.

“Oh, all those ridiculous people with zero talent who spend their lives making sure everyone knows their name. Those stupid, stupid people.”

OUCH. On one hand, I feel like it gives reality stars more credibility when actors talk about them, but they already have credibility, really. And the lost work that actors suffer because production companies make these reality TV shows instead can’t be denied. Do you think Jeremy’s being a little harsh or just telling it like it is?

Taylor Swift has a new song out: ‘We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together.’ Let the speculation begin: who do you think she’s talking about this time? If it’s John Mayer, he’ll probably let us know when he has to promote something else and do the media circuit.

Taylor seems pretty happy with Conor Kennedy: even going so far as to buy property near the Kennedy compound! I’m not sure that relationship has “forever” written all over it, though, with Conor being only 18. We’ll see, though.
