Whoa! Who would have ever thought that Jodie Foster was such a Kristen Stewart fan? Well, we knew that she had good things to say about her when they both worked on their film, “The Panic Room” from a few years back but it looks like when Jodie said that Kristen is like a daughter to her, she really meant it. The Hollywood actress recently put her thoughts into written words as she penned a special essay defending Kristen after the fallout she received for cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with director Rupert Sanders.

Here’s just a bit of what Jodie says:

On working with Kristen: “In 2001 I spent 5 months with Kristen Stewart on the set of Panic Room mostly holed up in a space the size of a Manhattan closet. We talked and laughed for hours, sharing spontaneous mysteries and venting our boredom. I grew to love that kid. She turned 11 during our shoot and on her birthday I organized a mariachi band to serenade her at the taco bar while she blew out her candles. She begrudgingly danced around a sombero with me but soon rushed off to grip and electric department’s basketball game. Her mother and I watched her jump around after the ball, hooting with every team basket. ‘She doesn’t want to be an actor when she grows up, does she?’ I asked. Her mom sighed. ‘Yes … unfortunately.’ We both smiled and shrugged with an ambivalence born from experience. ‘Can’t you talk her out of it?’ I offered. ‘Oh, I’ve tried. She loves it. She just loves it.’ More sighs. We watched her run around the court for a while, both of us silent, each thinking our own thoughts. I was pregnant at the time and found myself daydreaming of the child I might have soon. Would she be just like Kristen? All that beautiful talent and fearlessness … would she jump and dunk and make me so proud?”

On Kristen, post-scandal: “Cut to: Today … A beautiful young woman strides down the sidewalk alone, head down, hands drawn into fists. She’s walking fast, darting around huge men with black cameras thrusting at her mouth and chest. ‘Kristen, how do you feel?’ ‘Smile Kris!’ ‘Hey, hey, did you get her?’ ‘I got her. I got her!’ The young woman doesn’t cry. F–k no. She doesn’t look up. She’s learned. She keeps her head down, her shades on, fists in her pockets. Don’t speak. Don’t look. Don’t cry.”

Jodie sure does have a reputation for defending falling stars in Hollywood, right? Remember how she stood by Mel Gibson‘s side two years ago during his tape recording scandal and how she’s friends with Roman Polanski? It’s like she wants to help or even root for the underdog. Interesting, isn’t it?

One of our favorite television actresses, Olivia Wilde, was spotted grabbing lunch at the Alcove Cafe in Silverlake, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon. The House alumni was dressed casually in a sleeveless white shirt that she matched with cream-colored pants.

We haven’t heard much from Olivia lately, but she has been busy filming “Drinking Buddies” with Anna Kendrick in Chicago. With a film title like that, you know the movie is going to be interesting! I’m thinking a “Hangover” for the ladies, maybe?

I mean really, how can you not love Ellen DeGeneres? The funny woman posted this pic on her Facebook page with the caption, “I love Miley Cyrus‘ new haircut so much that I copied it.” Hey, they always say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? And if it’s coming from someone like Ellen, you know she means it!

Miley actually had to defend herself earlier on Wednesday when apparently some haters were hating on her new look but to be honest, I like it. Not many people can get away with short hair but Miley is pulling it off quite well. It’s different, it’s daring, and well, it’s only hair. After some time it always grows back! Just ask Britney Spears.

Socialite Nicole Richie was spotted heading to the gym in Studio City, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon. The mother-of-two had on her work-out gear as she made her way inside the gym to burn off some calories.

It’s great to see Nicole healthy and happy, right? Ever since she became a mom, there has been a drastic change in Nicole’s body (for the better of course) and it’s great to see her set a great example to her daughter by taking care of herself and her body the right way. Kudos to Nicole for keeping the positive in and the negative out.

Naomi Watts has been busy filming the upcoming movie ‘Caught in Flight’ about the late Princess Diana of Wales and while yesterday we saw her filming scenes ‘incognito’ today she was back in full Princess Diana costume. The resemblance really is amazing, isn’t it?

Naomi was seen filming scenes along with co-star Naveen Andrews. I must admit when I first heard they were making another movie about the late Princess I didn’t expect much, but then when I read that Naomi had been tapped to play the title role and the other bigger name stars attached I must admit I’m intrigued.
