Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner Opt Out Of Final ‘Twilight’ Conventions

I can completely understand it why Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson wouldn’t want to appear at the ‘Twilight’ conventions with the cheating scandal still getting so much attention. I’m not so sure why Taylor Lautner opted out, too, but none of the three ‘Twilight’ leads will appear at the final four ‘Twilight’ conventions scheduled before the release of ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2.’ Creation Entertainment, which organizes the conventions, put out the following statement:
“The passion and dedication of Twilightfandom has been amazing and we’re out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the Twilight family. Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super line-up of other Twilightstars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!”
The conventions are being held in San Antonio (August 25), Detroit (September 29), Parsippany, New Jersey (October 5), and Los Angeles (November 3). I understand why they wouldn’t want to appear, but it seems like they should do it for the fans. I could understand them not appearing together or even at the same convention, but with this being the final conventions, their appearances would be a great final “thank you.”

i totally agree with you. it’s not fair for the fans. Not coming to these conventions give the impression they are not interested in their work and fans. They could come each one in turn. However, the others twilight’s actors will have more room for once!
R/K/T weren’t going to do the convention this year anyway regardless of what’s going on with K-Stew. The audience last year was so rude and kept yelling things out to them that they told Summit months ago they weren’t doing it this year unless they changed the format.
