Avril Lavigne Engaged To Nickleback Frontman Chad Kroeger!

Wow! Who even knew that these two were a couple?! Avril Lavigne and fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger are engaged to be married! Avril and Chad, who is the lead singer for the group Nickleback, have been quietly dating for about 6 months after he started working with Avril to co-write a song for her upcoming album. They announced today that they are engaged to be married. This will be Avril’s second marriage and Chad’s first.
According to PEOPLE, Kroeger proposed on August 8 with a 14 carat diamond ring and according to a source;
“He makes her so happy,”
“Both of their families could not be more excited.”
Avril, who is 27, was previously married to another Canadian singer – Sum 41 front man Derek Whibley. I must admit this engagement completely shocked me. These two definitely kept their relationship completely under wraps but I did come across these pictures of the two from May dining together in Paris, although the photo agency had Chad listed as ‘an unidentified male’. Congratulations to both of them!
