Are Certain “Real Housewives” Buying Twitter Followers?

This is just… weird. But considering that they are all Real Housewives, I wouldn’t put anything pass them. There are quite a few rumors out there that are suggesting that certain Housewives such as Adrienne Maloof, Joanna Krupa and Alexis Bellino are all buying Twitter followers to help their “marketing strategy” and in some cases, for more brand-related opportunities? I mean, really?
Well, first off we’re hearing that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne has been “buying” her followers right after she announced that she was divorcing her husband, Dr. Paul Nassif. It was actually her co-star Brandi Glanville who first noticed that Adrienne’s followers have jumped at about 5,000 new ones per day in the past few weeks. So, is she buying sympathy followers? Adrienne has denied this, but still there’s a huge mystery surrounding why she’s becoming so popular so suddenly.
But Adrienne isn’t the only one who is allegedly paying to be popular. It also seems like The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Alexis Bellino has also been buying her fans to follow her as many of her co-stars have noticed a huge surge in followers on her end, too. Alexis has denied the claims and has merely blamed “spam bots” as the reason why she’s been gaining so many followers.
Also, the Real Housewives of Miami’s Joanna Krupa seems to have some interesting activity going on with her account, too. It was only a few months ago that she had 40,000 followers on her Twitter account and that number has since surged to over 220,000 and season two of the Miami series hasn’t even started yet. Could the Polish beauty be buying her way to popularity as well? It seems like that might be the case as she isn’t even a household name yet. Plus, I don’t think many people really remember her from her Dancing With The Stars days, either, otherwise she would have had much more followers on her account before she signed up for RHOM.
I, for one, have never been asked to follow a Housewife on her Twitter account. It sure would be nice to make a few extra bucks though, LOL. Why follow stars for free when you can get paid, right?
