Ireland Baldwin Defends Her Father Alec Baldwin’s Rage Issues

It seems like Alec Baldwinhas a pretty healthy relationship with his daughter Ireland these days. The two are always photographed together out and about in New York City and somehow, you never see Ireland’s mother Kim Basinger with her anymore. Plus, it seems like all must be forgiven for that 2007 voicemail Alec left his then 12-year-old daughter when he called her a “thoughtless little pig” for not returning his phone calls. Ireland, who is now 16, is finally opening up about the incident and is even defending his father (who some out there like to call “a rage monster”). She tells The New York Post’s Page Six:
“The only problem with that voice mail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was. He’s said stuff like that before just because he’s frustrated. We almost did something funny on YouTube, of me calling him and yelling at him.”
“My dad has been going through it for so long, I can see how he gets frustrated. If acting or modeling takes off, and I make a name for myself, I can see how I might get pretty frustrated.”
Hmm… sounds like everything is pretty much forgiven, which it should be, since it’s been about five years now. Good to see though that Ireland is still very close with her dad.
