This isn’t the first time Paris Hilton has been heard saying something derogatory, and sadly, it probably won’t be the last. That doesn’t make it any less DISGUSTING! Paris was talking with a friend, a gay man, while riding in a cab on September 7. The conversation was secretly recorded. Here’s what Paris was heard saying about gay men after her friend talks about the website Grindr, a social web site where gay men meet each other:
“Ewwww … gay guys are the horniest people in the world. Most of them probably have AIDS … I would be so scared if I was a gay guy … you’ll like die of AIDS.”
OMG! Not only is it sad that Paris would actually think and say this, but she thought it was okay to say it to a gay man! Paris’ rep released the following statement:
“Paris Hilton’s comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life threatening disease. The conversation became heated, after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride, a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex. He also discussed a website that encourages random sex by gay men with strangers.
“As she was being shown the website her comments were in reference to those people promoting themselves on the site. The cab driver who recorded this, only provided a portion of the conversation. It was not her intent to make any derogatory comments about all gays. Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation.”
The rep’s statement might be excusable if Paris hadn’t said things like “most of them probably have AIDS” and that if you’re gay, you’ll likely die of AIDS. What ignorance! Does her rep’s explanation make Paris’ comments more acceptable to you?

I am not a huge Paris Hilton fan, like at all, but in this case, I have to believe this was taken out of context. The fact that it started with…”ewww” shows that she was responding to something that was said, and her publicists explanation does make sense.
Well she had to do SOMETHING to make it back into the gossip blogs right?
Did you not read the statement. The two of them were looking at a website that encourage or facilitates unprotected sex with strangers. A comment that most of those people could have AIDS and she would be so scared to have sex with one of them is not inappropriate. I think most of us would be concerned about sexual health by hooking up with people who participate. I find it hard to believe as much as Paris Hilton has supported the gay community for the past decade that she is a closet homophobe and I a surprised that you, who are usually so positive about people, immediately jumped on the bashing bandwagon. That is especially true when we are talking portions of a secretly recorded conversation. I could make you look like a Nazi sympathizer if I just selected portions of your comments, but your regular readers would be rightfully doubtful because they would place them in the context of how you have behaved over time.
