“One strange tip – don’t wash it in the morning, at all, never. Because at night your skin is rebuilding some of the oils that you need to keep your skin young, and it balances the PH. So in the morning if you take them off – you can splash it with water, do something mild – but you don’t want to get rid of that. And if your skin is dirty in the morning, it means you didn’t clean well at night.”
- That’s one tip I haven’t heard before. I guess the real reason why Salma Hayek stays so young and fresh looking is because she never washes her face in the morning. Hmm.. gotta try that and see if it works.

Hmmmm…I work in a clinical setting and the topic of complexion issues comes up often. Salma’s advice would probably work for people with dry skin, but otherwise, built-up oils on the skin’s surface should be washed away to prevent break-outs. She’s right about using something mild though, but it should be something formulated for your skin type. Mild soap and lots of rinsing works best, even for dry skin. Again, you would use a moisturizer suited to your skin’s type. Even oily skin can have dry zones.
