Johnny Depp Promotes ‘Life After Death’

Johnny Depp supported his friend, Damien Echols, by promoting his new book, ‘Life after Death.’ Johnny hosted a discussion about Damien’s memoir at Barnes and Noble. I bet that was one of the most well-attended discussions Barnes and Noble has had this year!
Damien is a former death row inmate who was convicted and sentenced to death for participating in the death of three 8-year-old boys. Damien’s story is also what ‘West Memphis Three’ is about. The unusual thing about this case is that Damien and the other two guys convicted in the deaths were released on a technicality but not necessarily vindicated. Talk about a tough situation.

umm… so was he wrongly accused or is he a murderer? He was released on a technicality – not because he was wrongly accused in the first place?
WOW… just read all about the case. This is a good example to show that the western criminal justice system is highly flawed. Lucky they were released. I wonder how many other people have been wrongly accused and then killed.
