The dust is settling as we all get over the shock of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s divorce. Katie and Suri are getting settled into their new life in New York City, as well. Suri has started regular school at Avenues as a first-grader. A source told People:

“In school, Katie is so nice and talks to the parents like everyone else. She’s making sure Suri is doing well and Suri has had a few playdates with new friends from school.”

Katie and Suri have also been enjoying the city, from flea market shopping in Brooklyn to finding the best place for cupcake treats. It’s good to see them doing so well, isn’t it?
