Cameron Diaz just celebrated a landmark birthday: she turned 40. Cameron admits getting married and having kids wasn’t something she focused on in the past, but now she says she’s more open to those possibilities. Cameron explained:
”[Marriage] just wasn’t the thing I was drawn to. I certainly didn’t want it in my 20s. Or my 30s. I don’t need to have the children in my life be a part of my literal flesh. And anyway, there’s still a possibility of that, I ain’t that old. I’m feeling very … capable.
“For the first time in my life I’m content. Getting older is the best part of life. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it – I feel better at 40 than I did at 25.”
So what is Cameron looking for in a guy?
“I want someone who takes care of themselves, who’s strong. To hear people are engaged in life like that is exciting to me.”
Sometimes I wonder if actresses feel pressured to say they want traditional things, like a husband and kids, or if it really is something they’re more interested in as they feel satisfied with their careers. Regardless, as long as Cameron’s happy, that’s the most important thing!
