Brad Pitt: Fatherhood Made Me Better Man
Posted on November 28, 2012 at 1:30 PM
Brad Pitt credits fatherhood for improving him as a person. Being a parent certainly does force you to realize you are not the center of the universe! When People magazine asked if being a father had made him a better person, Brad said:
“Absolutely. [Being a dad] takes you right off yourself.”
Brad also reflected on the year 2012.
“It’s been a family type of year, a down-home type of year. Mama’s [Angelina] worked more. And quite frankly I’ve really enjoyed it.”
And although Brad refused to confirm a date, he said his and Angelina Jolie’s wedding wasn’t far off. The wedding plans?
“Just family. Keep it simple. Keep it simple – really.”
I can see that: Brad had his big wedding with Jennifer Aniston. No need to do it all over again! Brad also has another big milestone coming up: he’s turning 50.
“This is what I think about: ‘Okay, you’re way over the mid-point [of your life]. You don’t know how much time you have left.’ I want to enjoy this year more than ever.”
A lot of men seem to say that about turning 50: they realize they’re more than midway through their life. Well, Brad seems happy, and that’s the important thing.

Being a daddy will definitely change a man, and for the good if he will let it. I love being a daddy, and would not trade it for anything in the world! The only human relationship that I love more is being the best husband I can be, because one day my babies will all learn to fly, and will build their own nests. Every day, the way I relate to my wife teaches my daughters how it is ok for a man to treat them, and teaches my son how to treat his future girlfriends and wife.
