Alicia Keys got glamorous for her role as host for the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball. ‘The Girl on Fire’ singer looked amazing on the red carpet. The dress is pretty, but what I really like about it is that gorgeous color. Padma Lakshmi also attended, looking beautiful in white.

There was an auction at the ball, and one man offered to raise his bid from $100,000 to $250,000 for a trip to South African IF Alicia would join him and his friends. Alicia said she’d go if he raised his bid even higher. The man didn’t do that, but he later pledged $1 million to Keep a Child Alive. That was a big boost: overall, Alicia reportedly raised $1.3 million for her charity, which helps children diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Alicia also honored Oprah Winfrey for her philanthropic efforts, including the school she started in South Africa. What a great cause!

It sounds like this celeb needs to make a trip to rehab STAT.

There’s a young celebrity whose eyes have been really bloodshot lately. When asked why his eyes are so messed up, he simply replies, “I’m sick.”

The truth is that he went on quite a cocaine bender after a recent concert. His heart rate sped up so much – and his blood vessels constricted so much – that he wound up popping some capillaries in his eyes. The bloodshot eyes will fade after a few days, but they are indicative of a much bigger problem. He is a dr*g add*ct, and he needs help.

Oh, McSteamy! I miss you SO much on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’! Yes, everybody’s gotta die, but I wish you had at least died at the end of the show. Rebecca Gayheart still gets to see him and even go shopping with him, lucky girl. Well, Eric Dane might wish he were still on ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ too, but he’s already found another job.

Eric was cast in Michael Bay’s TNT pilot, ‘The Last Ship,’ It’s based on the dystopian novel by William Brinkley about a group of people who survive a global catastrophe aboard a ship. They’re among the only survivors on the planet. It could be good, although I doubt Eric’s character is another McSteamy.

Jennifer Hudson looks like she was ready for a fun evening! She attended the Lucky Magazine 9th Annual Lucky Shop Event in New York City. I wonder if that’s a new cover of Jennifer for Lucky that she’s posing beside? Maybe she’s also the January covergirl? We’ll find out soon enough.

What do you think of Jennifer’s colorful shorts over black tights? I’m not sure about this look. I mean, Jennifer looks great; she’s certainly slim enough for the outfit. I’m just not sure the outfit itself is all that wonderful. It’s not what I would choose to wear, I guess, no matter how great my legs looked. What do you think of it?

Courteney Cox was hard at work on the set of ‘Cougar Town‘ yesterday. She was shooting at the Malibu Beach with co-star Josh Hopkins. Courteney took a break to enjoy a visit with her daughter Coco. How old is Coco now? It seems like she’s growing up so fast!

Are you excited about getting to watch more ‘Cougar Town’ on TBS? It’ll be interesting to see how (or if) the show changes. When ‘Cougar Town’ moved from ABC to TBS, the creator left the show, for whatever reason. So the cast is the same, but it’s not clear how the writing will change. It may not change at all if most of the writing staff stayed with the show.
