Geri Halliwell Runs Errands In London
Posted on December 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM
Geri Halliwell was spotted out and about in London. The former Spice Girl seems to have livened up her look a little with lighter, curly hair (we can’t see her face). And check out those animal print ankle boots! FIERCE. Eat your heart out, Russell Brand!
I wonder if Geri’s getting the last of her holiday shopping done? This is a good time to do it. Personally, I relied heavily on the internet for my shopping. How about you?

Allison Sweeney Covers Fitness
Posted on December 18, 2012 at 2:30 PM
Allison Sweeney knows all about losing weight, from watching contestants on ‘The Biggest Loser’ struggle to shed the pounds to her own work to go from a size 12 to a size 4. Allison opened up to Fitness magazine about her experiences. Here are some excerpts from her interview:
Giving up on perfection and feeling liberated: “If I couldn’t be number one or go superfast, I’d give up and not do it at all,” she admits. “But I’m learning I can have fun and be proud of myself, even if I’m not the best. Medium speed is OK too! It’s a positive cycle. You take care of your body, and the next thing you know, you’re taking better care of your career and the people you love.”
On squeezing in a workout with her crazy schedule: “I used to be one of those people who hated working out. It felt like such a chore. I had to learn that exercise isn’t a punishment. Finding workouts I enjoy has allowed me to flip it in my head. Now I look forward to that time and the exercise high I feel afterward.”
Alison’s secret to fitting it all in: “I’ll do strength training in my dressing room between shoots, and I’ve been known to make business calls while I’m out jogging. I try to mute myself on Bluetooth so they can’t hear me huffing and puffing, but I usually end up getting caught. Fortunately, people understand; they’re usually jealous they aren’t exercising too!
If you had two hours to yourself—no kids or demands—which would you choose: sleep, sex or exercise? “It’s terrible to admit, but I’d probably sleep. But if you let me pick two, sex definitely qualifies as exercise for me, so I think I could fit them all in!”
On still feeling like a chubby person: “Those thought processes are hard to overcome, so that’s definitely where Bob’s and Jillian’s mantras really do echo in my head: “That’s an excuse; that’s not who you are.” It’s important to take care of yourself. That includes eating healthier and learning not to beat yourself up when you make a mistake.”
Being proud of her body: “I may not have the best body out there—not even close— but I worked my butt off, literally, for it, and it’s OK if it’s not as good as someone else’s. This is what I’ve got, and I have to embrace it and be proud of it.”
Overcoming her weight struggles: “I was a total sucker for both the fat-free and sugar-free crazes. I used not to eat breakfast in the morning because I thought it was just one less meal to worry about. When I started Biggest Loser, I wasn’t eating enough and would compensate by consuming foods that weren’t good for me. I really credit the show for introducing me to quinoa, lentils and other healthy options that taste good.”
You can also learn more about Allison’s fitness strategies, such as signing up for marathons, in the January issue of Fitness, which hits newsstands today, December 18.
Hugh Jackman Opens Up About His Wife’s Miscarriages
Posted on December 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM
Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, are now the parents of two adopted children, Oscar and Ava. But before adopting, Hug and Deborra-Lee tried to have their own biological children. The ‘Les Miserables’ star opened up about how difficult it was for them.
“To be clear, Deb and I always wanted to adopt. So that was always in our plan. We didn’t know where in the process that would happen but biologically obviously we tried and it was not happening for us and it is a difficult time. We did IVF and Deb had a couple of miscarriages. I’ll never forget it the miscarriage thing — it happens to one in three pregnancies, but it’s very very rarely talked about.
“It’s almost secretive, so I hope Deb doesn’t mind me bringing it up now. It’s a good thing to talk about it. It’s more common, and it is tough. There’s a grieving that you have to go through.”
I hope Deborra-Lee doesn’t mind you talking about it either, Hugh- LOL! We all know couples struggle with infertility, but it’s such a deeply private thing. Some couple going through it now will probably find Hugh’s sharing helpful. Hugh said things got better as soon as their oldest child, Oscar, was born.
“all the heartache just melted away.”
The Jackman family seems like such a happy one. I’m glad things worked out!

Drew Barrymore Doesn’t Feel Like A Grown-Up
Posted on December 18, 2012 at 1:30 PM
Drew Barrymore may be a mother now, but that doesn’t mean she feels like a grown-up. Far from it. Drew says she’s learned a lot of life lessons. However, the new mom also confided to Allure:
“The mistakes, the potholes, the journeys, the bad patterns - all of it is so much clearer to me now…but I still don’t totally feel like a grown-up. Maybe I never will.”
Does anyone ever feel totally like what they imagine a grown-up should feel? I think most of us just get on with what has to be done. At some points, you’re too tired to even think about how you should feel- LOL.

Jennifer Garner & Violet Do Dinner
Posted on December 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM
Jennifer Garner and Violet grabbed an early dinner at Louise’s last night. Then they treated themselves to coffee and pastry from Cafe Luxxe before heading home. That must’ve been some fun one-on-one time for the two! Violet’s probably finding one-on-one time hard to come by these days with a younger sister and baby brother.
I wonder if Jennifer’s done shooting ‘The Dallas Buyers Club’ or if she has to make another trip down to the Big Easy? Personally, I’d love to spend as much time as I could in New Orleans. But the beignets and po’boys ultimately wouldn’t do my waistline any favors! My trick for keeping things in check when visiting New Orleans: the walking tours. Between having to walk everywhere in the French Quarter (there’s NO parking) and going on walking tours, you can indulge in the delicious food there quite a bit.

Must- See PHOtos!

Earlier today I guessed Bradley Cooper was going to spend the holidays in either Philadelphia or New York City, but I was wrong! Here he is arriving in London with his mother. This must be a nice getaway for them: no memories here and a pleasant trip, to boot. I’ve heard Christmas in London is supposed to be wonderful.
It’ll probably be nice for Bradley and his mother, Gloria Cooper, to spend some time together, too. They can enjoy some mother-son time. Then Bradley will be busy in LA at the awards shows! He’s already been nominated for a SAG and a Golden Globe; I’ll be SHOCKED if there isn’t an Academy Award nom, too, coming his way.
