Do you think it means anything that this trailer, the one for Kim Kardashian’s FIRST movie, is showing up on the last day of the Mayan calendar, 12-21-12? I doubt it, but I couldn’t resist pointing it out- LOL. Here’s our first look at Kim’s big screen debut in the new Tyler Perry movie, ‘Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.’ (If you recall, Kim shot this while dealing with the fallout from her divorce filing from Kris Humphries.)

I think Tyler knew exactly what he was doing. Notice how Kim is strategically placed right at the beginning? THEN we get to the plot of the movie. Something tells me Tyler is shooting to crossover. His movies do very well with African Americans, but I think he’s going mainstream. With all of his success (who else has their own STUDIO?), it makes sense to focus on expanding his audience. Does ‘Confessions of a Marriage Counselor’ look good to you?

Here’s one of our favorite Hot Guys of the Day, Zac Efron, hard at work on the set of his new movie, ‘Are We Officially Dating.’ I don’t know if Zac is filming when he’s laughing so hard or relaxing with his co-stars. Either way, he’s convinced me he’s having a good time- LOL. Here’s a (very brief) description of the movie, courtesy of IMDb:

Hmmm… I’m guessing Zac’s character, at least, is in the middle of having a good time when- BHAM- he falls in love. That’s how it goes, doesn’t it? You find love when you aren’t looking for it. Does the movie sound interesting to you? Zac seems to really make an effort to find high-quality movies to do, so I’m willing to give this one a chance.

Kelly Osbourne shares her secret to losing weight (she dropped quite a few pounds several years ago) and keeping it off (which is the toughest part of all!) So how did Kelly lose the weight and keep it off?

“People think I lost weight and that’s what made me happier. That’s not true: I had to learn to love myself first. Losing weight was just one benefit of putting the hard work in and sorting myself out on the inside first through therapy. That was one of the scariest times of my life. I swear I’ve never felt more naked, because I had to actually be me and couldn’t mask it.”

That makes sense. For a lot of people struggling with their weight, it’s likely there’s a fair amount of emotional eating going on. Until you deal with whatever’s leading to that emotional eating, your weight will be a problem. Kelly doesn’t deprive herself: she says she enjoys everything “in moderation” and exercises every day.

“When I started exercising I couldn’t even do one sit-up. By the end of the first week I could do three, and that was a big deal. Now I work out every day and I just don’t feel good if I miss it. It’s amazing how quickly your fitness builds, but you have to really want it.”

Kelly said her “wow” moment came last year when she could zip up a Zac Posen couture gown for the Emmy Awards.

“I’ll never be the kind of person who thinks, ‘I’m so hot.’ I don’t want to be. But I learned to respect and love myself – something I didn’t think I would ever be capable of. I put on my dress, and when I looked at myself in the mirror I cried. Never in my life did I think that Zac Posen would fly in a dress for me that he could have given to any nominee. It fit me perfectly!”

Go Kelly! She truly has done an amazing job with getting herself together. Kelly is an inspiration.

Christina Aguilera’s boyfriend, Matt Rutler, threw her a surprise birthday bash. He was really able to surprise her because he held the party early (last weekend), although her birthday was only three days ago. Good trick! A friend said:

“Everyone was very friendly and got along well. They had a great time.”

Matt invited about 20 friends, including Christina’s BFF Nicole Richie and her fellow ‘The Voice’ judge Blake Shelton. Guests enjoyed a two-tiered black, pink and white cake from trendy eatery Vanilla Bakeshop. Sounds like fun! Sources say Christina was “shocked” Matt went to so much trouble to surprise her. That’s sweet, isn’t it?

Mila Kunis is from the Ukraine, but apparently not everyone there is a fan of hers as she makes it big in Hollywood. Jewish organizations are angry about a Ukrainian politician Igor Miroshnichenko referring to Mila as a ”zhydovka”, which translates as “dirty Jewess” and is reportedly a derogatory word against Jewish people that was used during the Holocaust.

Are you KIDDING me? How could an elected official even *think* it was appropriate to refer to anyone using an offensive slur? Mila hasn’t responded to the comments but has talked about her childhood in the Ukraine in the past.

“My whole family was in the Holocaust. My grandparents passed and not many survived. After the Holocaust, in Russia you were not allowed to be religious. So my parents raised me to know I was Jewish. You know who you are inside. When I was in school you would still see anti-Semitic signs.

“One of my friends who grew up in Russia, she was in second grade. She came home one day crying. Her mother asked why and she said on the back of her seat there was a swastika. This is a country that obviously does not want you.”

If Katie Holmes’ attitude outside the Ed Sulllivan Theatre is any indication, she is indeed single and ready to mingle! And Katie reportedly is doing just that. Word has it she’s entered back into the dating pool. A mystery man supposedly was seen walking Katie back to her New York City apartment last night. An eyewitness said:

“They were saying a long, long goodnight, talking and looking pretty romantic in the lobby around 2am. He looked like a finance type, was wearing classic Cole Haan shoes and a navy pea coat. He walked her to the elevator and then she said ‘good night’ and smiled.”
The insider claimed that the 34-year-old actress looked completely smitten with her guest, and was “twirling her hair with one leg up. She was very pretty and very flirty!”

However, others close to Katie say the man is simply a good friend and is gay.

“Katie’s happy, she’s a totally new person. She’s not dating anyone and she won’t be anytime soon. It’s not like she’d even have the time.”

Well, who knows? I’m sure Katie will date when she’s ready.
