Ashton Kutcher initiated the legal process to end his marriage to Demi Moore. He filed divorce papers yesterday. So what took so long for either Ashton or Demi to file for divorce? Here’s what TMZ says:

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … Ashton waited so long because he wanted to give Demi the chance to file first … it was a whole dignity thing. After a year … when Demi showed no signs of making her move, Ashton finally did.

Meanwhile, people close to Demi said she had planned to file for divorce from the time she left him. So what held her up?

But our sources say Demi was not stalling … there was something going on with some sort of financial issues between the two of them that prevented her from filing … something she was trying to resolve. We’re told Demi never wavered in her resolve to get unhitched.

One final thing. Our sources say Demi is “genuinely happy” now and has no regrets about moving on.

In Ashton’s filing, he said property rights would be worked out later. Something tells me they’re also going to be working out issues like alimony, too. They’ve both moved on, so I can understand Ashton’s desire to take the final legal steps, if only for the sake of closure.

Sophia Bush looks like she has guests at her home. Maybe she’s hosting her family for the holidays? Surely the ‘One Tree Hill‘ star isn’t planning on drinking all of that herself! Sophia had her hands full as she left an LA Starbucks.

She’s also dressed much more casually than we’re used to seeing her. It looks like Sophia threw on some clothes to make her Starbucks run. Hey, we’ve all done it. I’ve gone through Starbucks drive-thru in pajamas and a coat- LOL. Hopefully she’s having fun.
