Three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings got some exciting news right before the holidays. She and husband Casey Jennings are expecting a baby girl! Kerri was so excited about the news she got teary as she made the announcement.

“We’re going to share something so special today and I’ve been dying for two months to find out,” [Kerri] said before breaking the news through tears. “Oh my God — we’re having a girl!”

Kerri and Casey have two sons (three-year-old Joseph and two-year-old Sundance), so I bet they were hoping for a little girl. The family found out on the Today show.

“It feels a little cheesy if I overthink it, but I’m just not going to overthink it,” Walsh Jennings told Today prior to the announcement. “I feel like people are along for the ride with us. We’ve gotten so many words of encouragement … I welcome all the love and prayers I can get!”

‘Thor‘ star Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky arrived in LAX. Look at their adorable daughter, India. Don’t you want to just squeeze those cheeks? Too cute! It looks like the Hemsworth – Pataky family will be spending Christmas in LA with the palm trees.

I’m surprised to see them here. Chris is from Australia, and Elsa is from Madrid. Yet they’re spending their first Christmas with baby India in LA? Well, at least Chris’ brother Liam will be nearby. Who knows: perhaps members from both sides of their families are coming to LA. That would be fun!

Mariah Carey is STILL shopping in Aspen! This time she was spotted out picking up some toys. She’s just giving Santa a little help, that’s all- LOL. We haven’t seen Mariah’s husband, Nick Cannon, or their twins. Hopefully Nick is okay and not laid up like he was last year.

Mariah certainly seems to be in the holiday spirit. Look at her smile. It’s especially fun to shop for toys for kids, isn’t it? I bet Christmas in Aspen is magical.

Here’s a new trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie, ‘Django Unchained.’ It stars Jamie Foxx. Leonardo DiCaprio plays a nasty villain, from what I can tell. Christoph Waltz gets to be a hero for one. Well, his character is a hero in the movie in the sense that he’s helping the “good” guy, Jamie. I’m not sure how “good” bounty hunters typically are- LOL.

Kerry Washington also stars in this movie. She’s Django’s wife, who was sold to Leonardo’s character. Kerry’s been so busy working on ‘Scandal,’ I don’t think she’s been all that involved with the promotion for ‘Django Unchained.’ This is likely the last trailer for the movie, since it opens tomorrow. Enjoy!

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy decided to separate at the recommendation of Bethenny’s therapist, according to insiders. Radar Online claims the ultimate goal of a separation is to try to heal the relationship. A source close to the situation said:

“Bethenny was adamantly against formally separating from Jason because she viewed it as giving up on the marriage, and she just isn’t ready to do that. It was her therapist that recommended the trial separation to give the couple some breathing room, and experience life without each other on a daily basis.

“Bethenny and Jason have been having the same arguments for a very long time, she thinks he is too critical of her, and he thinks his wife is can be a control freak. The one thing they both agree on is that their 2-year-old daughter Bryn will not be adversely affected by this break. Bethenny and Bryn will remain in the apartment and Jason can spend as much time as he wants with her. Jason is a devoted dad, and Bethenny recognizes that.”

That makes sense. If they’re arguing constantly, then some time apart may give them some time to really calm down, without getting riled up again, so they can then work on the issues that lead to the ongoing fighting. Things happened so fast for those two in terms of Bethenny getting pregnant and their decision to get married. They didn’t have a chance to really get to know each other.
