GOTCHA ! Gerard Pique, Shakira’sboyfriend and the father of their child, is having a good laugh today. Yesterday he tweeted that Shakira had given birth to a baby boy with this message (translated):
“Our son has been born! We are very happy! Thanks to all for your messages. We have a name! His name is Inocencio! Merry Day of the Holy Innocents to everyone!”
It turns out, yesterday was Día de los Inocentes (Day of Innocents) in Spain. In other words, it was the Spanish equivalent of April Fool’s Day. Shakira’s rep denied the singer has given birth.
“Shakira is sleeping. She’s calm. The baby is expected to be born in the beginning or the middle of February.”
