Jennifer Lawrence Is “Regular Girl” Movie Star Next Door
Posted on December 31, 2012 at 1:00 PM
Jennifer Lawrence really is like your girl next door! Well, besides starring in one of the biggest franchises around, ‘The Hunger Games,’ and gearing up for a second potential Oscar nomination with her role in ‘Silver Linings Playbook‘ opposite Bradley Cooper, Jennifer is just like the girl next door- LOL. Jennifer shared her “addictions” in an interview when talking about what she likes to do for fun. She said she likes to have her friends come over.
“It’s like a reality TV show cave. I just learned how to work TiVO. That changed my life.”
The DVR really does change things, doesn’t it? And what does the actress serve her company?
“Junk food. After it’s 11, I’m like, ‘Don’t these kids ever get tired?’ When I’m out, I think about my couch. Like, ‘It would be awesome to be on it right now. I bet there’s an episode of Dance Moms on. Am I missing a new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians? I’m just stressed by the idea of missing them. Reality TV is my silver lining. At the end of the day there’s probably nothing that makes me feel better than junk food and reality TV.”
If that’s the case, then Jennifer must be thrilled over the news that Kim Kardashian is pregnant- LOL.

Kerry Washington Had A Safe Word While Filming ‘Django Unchained’
Posted on December 31, 2012 at 12:30 PM
Have you had a chance to see Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie, ‘Django Unchained‘? I finally did this weekend. Amazing! Kerry Washington plays the slave Broomhilda. She’s also the wife of Jamie Foxx’s character, Django, who is freed after helping German bounty hunter Dr. Schultz (played by Christoph Waltz). Even if you haven’t seen it, it won’t ruin the story for you to read this. In one scene, Kerry’s character is put in the “hotbox” after trying to run away. Quentin explained how he shot the scene for the most realistic effect possible.
“I think she had to be in there for 20 minutes before I yelled action. Kerry is very game to make things as real as possible. Leaving her in the box for 30 seconds and then yelling action wouldn’t work. Nor would sticking her in the box for hours. But 10 minutes in the box could feel like 30. The idea was for Kerry to become disoriented, lose track of time in there, and contemplate what eight hours in the box would feel like. She could yell or scream.”
Luckily for Kerry, however, some precautions were taken. She told Deadline:
“But there was a safe word, so that the crew knew when I was panicking as a person, and not as an actor. This is how a lot of the film went — taking the reality as far as we could.”
There was plenty of realism in ‘Django Unchained,’ trust me, which made it all the more fantastic. I’ve (very) recently become a huge fan of Kerry’s, too. In addition to seeing her in ‘Django Unchained’ this weekend, I finally got on the bandwagon and started watching her show, ‘Scandal.’ I sat down to watch the pilot and ended up watching the entire first season (it was only seven episodes) on Netflix. I’m HOOKED.

Quote Of The Day: Adam Lambert On ‘Les Miserables’
Posted on December 31, 2012 at 12:00 PM
I haven’t had a chance to see ‘Les Miserables‘ yet, but former ‘American Idol‘ runner-up Adam Lambert has. I think it’s safe to say, based on his tweet, that he wasn’t completely sold on the movie.
Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.
OUCH! Although in all fairness, some reviewers made similar comments about less-than-stellar singing. Have you seen ‘Les Miserables’ yet? If so, what did you think?

Lady Gaga Offers Fans Pre-Concert Counseling
Posted on December 31, 2012 at 11:30 AM
Now this is a first! Lady Gaga is offering her “little monsters” counseling before her Born This Way Ball shows. Gaga explained it on her Facebook page.
For those wondering about the “counseling” at the BTWBall BornBrave pre-show, it will be a fun tailgating experience for monsters to unite.
At the BornBrave Bus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends. There will also be food and games, DJ White Shadow andLady Starlight will DJ with host BREEDLOVE to keep the experience fun.
BornBrave Bus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgement, FREE real help available to all. I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around “help” and make it fun.
I’m counting down the days till the Ball starts up again. ONLY 3 MONTHS LEFT OF TOURING, what will I do!!!!?? I love seeing you every night!
I think this is a great thing to do! Hopefully teens who really need help will be able to connect with a professional.

Celebrity Moms & Their Mini-Me’s
Posted on December 31, 2012 at 11:00 AM
These celebrity moms practically have little twins. Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise are the mother-daughter duo I think of when I look at how much some celebrity tots resemble their moms! But there were some that were included in this video that surprised me. How about Heidi Klum and her oldest child, daughter Leni?
Or what about Kate Beckinsale and her daughter, Lily? I guess I was thinking actual physical resemblance rather than dressing alike. What do you think of this list of mother-daughter duos who look a lot alike?
Must- See PHOtos!

Brandy’s 2012 is wrapping up in a spectacular fashion. She got engaged to Ryan Press! The couple currently are vacationing in Hawaii. Brandy posted the above pic of them on Instagram. Check out her ROCK.
OMG! It’s huge. And it’s gorgeous. Brandy is one lucky lady. Ryan, as you can see, has great taste. I can’t WAIT to see Brandy in her wedding gown. Hopefully we’ll get at least one good picture.
